Currently I'm sitting in bed letting my hair air dry after the glorious 20 minute shower I just took and listening to this little milk-coma'd muffin grunt happily in her sleep.
There are a thousand other things that I probably should be doing and taking advantage of during her nap time.
The dishwasher still hasn't been unloaded and I need to switch out the laundry. I have a quick analytics report to type up for work. I need to gather the bills and schedule them for next month. My office desk has become a holding place for various items and needs organized. I need to store all of my maternity clothes. I need to add the finishing touches to McCartney's birth story so that I can post it before she is, oh, one year old. And probably a million other things that I could add to my ever-growing, never ending to-do list.
But, when it comes down to it, the snow is falling down outside and I really just want to snuggle with my pooch and watch my little babe dream.
And I think that is exactly what I'll do today. :o)

Oh my gosh! She is so stinkin cute! And, I understand ... I have those days all. the. time. :) Although it probably always sounds like an excuse to everyone else, I love looking back on my day and saying, "so, nothing really got accomplished around the house ... but my heart is full and my babies know they are loved." End scene. Snuggle up, mama!
ReplyDeleteSounds perfect to me! Take advantage of that time while you're able to! I've heard it goes by fast!
ReplyDeleteSounds lovely, and soon enough her quiet alert periods will get longer and you two can have wonderful chats as you do your chores and she offers moral support from her swing.
ReplyDeleteBabies are only small once, the dishes will always be there. I know which one I would choose:-)
ReplyDeleteWatch and snuggle allllll you want. You'll make time for the bills and dishes later. :) I love when they sleep with their arms up like that- so precious!
ReplyDeleteGood for you, there will be plenty of time to clean when they're older... at least that's what people tell me. Haha. She is such a sweetheart!
