7 Quick Takes

Keeping up with Friday tradition and joining Jen and her crew for 7 Quick Takes...

1.  Happy Birthday to my amazing and wonderful mom!!!
I love you so much and I wish that I could be there to celebrate with you!

2.  Also a Happy One Month and a Day birthday to our sweet little gal!

Seriously, time is going by way too fast!

3.  In case you haven't watched the weather channel lately, it snowed here.  Just a bit...

14.2 inches was the final count.

4.  Trudy definitely enjoyed it...

5  Speaking of that storm have you ever heard of thundersnow?  That's right.  We had thundersnow.  Thunder + Lightning + Snow.  It just sounds cool to say.  Thundersnow.  Check it out.

6.  Thankfully, due to the crazy road conditions, Ben's surgeries for the afternoon got canceled yesterday so he was back home before noon (yay!).  After he shoveled the driveway, we spent the snow day playing Mario Kart and catching up on all five episodes of The Following.  If you haven't watched it yet and you love graphic TV shows about crazy serial killers (please don't judge us) then  you have to check it out.  It was so good!

PS - Please keep Kansas City in your prayers.  It's always weird to see your hometown on the national news, especially when it is for a tragedy like the explosion of JJ's restaurant.  Here's to rebuilding and recovering.
