Ansty

Okay, so perhaps I should backtrack to my New Year's resolutions and add one more:
Be more patient.

Because right now I'm am antsy, antsy in my maternity pantsies folks!

Just the other day I was blabbering on about how our little gal can take her sweet time getting here and I was in no rush.
Then around 1:50am on December 31st we got this sweet little text from our favorite Pattons...

1.  How adorable is Theo?
2.  Talk about sending me into I-Want-My-Baby-To-Be-Here-Now-Too overdrive!
That was the straw that broke the camels back (or is it the preggo woman's bump?).
By 2am I was doing jumping jacks in the bathroom until Ben scolded me and told me to get back into bed.

Anyway, now I'm just reeeeeeaaaaddddy.
I know it's silly because we still have two weeks until our due date, but when I get excited about something I can't wait.
And of course the oh-so-confusing Braxton Hicks contractions that have suddenly flared up aren't any help.
Although it is pretty cute how Ben is suddenly very concerned.  Any grunt or wince and he's by my side asking if we need to head to the hospital.

So, that's where I am.  38 weeks and antsy.
I guess I need to just look back on my resolutions again and "Let Go and Let God."  After all, he knows when she'll be here and it will be done in His perfect timing.  It would just be really fun if His perfect timing were tonight. ;o)

Anyway, I'll be back tomorrow with a fun little post on our last baby-sitterless date night that we took this past weekend, but until then you can find me eating spicy food, doing laps around Target, and going up and down the stairs all day.

Afraid this baby isn't coming out until March,
~ Kelly Jo

PS - Head on over to Camp Patton and share your congrats for little Theo and the fam if you haven't already!

  1. I wondered if Theodore's arrival would make you a little antsy. :) I can't blame you! May seems so far away.

  2. As today is my due date and nothing going on but Braxton Hicks and lots of kicks at my ribs ~ I SO get where you are coming from. Trusting in his perfect timing here too.

  3. I remember that same feeling. My sister in law had her first baby 8 weeks before mine and as soon as she had hers I wanted mine right now too. And then as the day got closer all I wanted was for the baby to stay in a little longer - I was petrified! Everything will be alright:-)
