The other day I was feeling kinda crafty.
So, at my weekly-post-preggo-checkup-Hobby-Lobby-outing I picked up a pack of doilies. They were originally a steep $1.47, but there was a sale on all V-Day decor for 30% off so I got them for a whopping buck-o-three.
Score!
When I bought them I already knew exactly what I was going to do with them.
I took some twine that I had from an old project, looped it through ten of them and ta-da!
A simple, rustic Valentine's garland!
Ben's reaction to my Martha Stewart ways:
Is this your subtle way of providing a constant reminder that Valentine's Day is coming up?
No, but good idea!
There's no excuses now, buddy!!!
Anyway, I've never decorated for Valentine's Day before, so this was actually kinda fun! I still have some doilies left over so we'll see what I can come up with for them in the next few weeks. I'm sure that with the new baby I'll just have a ton of free crafting time ;o)
What about you? Do you put up any love day decorations? If not, has Pinterest inspired you to change your ways? Do share!
Over and Out,
Kelly Jo

I can't focus on decorating my house because I really need to get started on the baby's nursery. Like seriously. I have so many projects and things I want to do and I haven't started ANY of them.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping nesting kicks in full force REAL soon. :)
LOVE the garland though. I could probably squeeze something like that in. :)
My MIL always decorates for Valentines Day...I mean she goes ALL OUT! It might be a little too much but I like it:) So now the kids and I like to make Valentines decorations for our house! I really like the garland. I have been wanting to buy doilies...now I have a reason! Thanks for sharing.
