Happy 83rd Birthday, Dad!

Today is a very special day!

Probably one of the most special days in the entire year (yup, they save the best for last).

It's my Dad's 83rd Birthday!!!

That's right, 83 years young and causin' trouble like always!

My Dad (or Papa Woody as most people refer to him) is pretty much the best.

He is by far one of the most hilarious people I know - he never fails to have everyone around him laughing to the point of tears.

He always puts others first and is genuinely one of the kindest, most thoughtful, loving people that you'll ever have the chance of meeting.

His life story is incredible and sometimes heart aching  (a Kentucky orphan in the 1930's, member of the Air Force, first wife passed from cancer, took a bullet to the eye and two bullets to the leg when attacked by some strangers at his job, met my mom and fell madly in love, had a baby when he was already a grandpa. etc.). But despite the sadness and trials that he dealt with he never lost faith.

Hence, making him just the best dad in the world.

And might I also mention that he is one of the best dancers I know too?

What can I say? I love you, Dad!

You've been the best father I could ask for and now I can't wait to see you become the best grandpa to our little gal!
